Proper Maintenance of Precision Compressed Air Filters

Release date: 2026-01-23 16:50:20 Visits: 26

Most users lack professional maintenance knowledge, which shortens filter cartridge life and even causes equipment failures and secondary air contamination.

As core components for pneumatic systems and precision air-consuming equipment, these filters are widely used in machining, electronics, food, pharmaceuticals and new energy. Their stable operation directly affects production efficiency and product quality.

1. Cartridge Maintenance & Pre-operation Inspection
Cartridges are key wear parts (glass fiber, activated carbon, sintered metal, etc.) for air cleanliness.
Before startup, check for cartridge damage/deformation or seal aging. Ensure proper installation and tight sealing to avoid unfiltered air damaging downstream equipment and products.
2. Contaminant Removal & Cartridge Replacement
Solid particles, oil mist and condensed water accumulate on cartridges, causing clogging, pressure drop and higher energy consumption.

Clean housings and drains monthly under normal conditions. Replace genuine compatible cartridges immediately when inlet-outlet pressure difference hits 0.07–0.1 MPa (or manual threshold), or when air fails dust/oil tests. Never use expired cartridges.

3. Wear Monitoring & Detailed Maintenance
Housings, seals and valves wear out over time, leading to unstable airflow and reduced efficiency.
Regularly check for housing corrosion/deformation and seal integrity. Monitor flow rate and pressure difference, troubleshooting anomalies promptly. Keep the surrounding area clean to avoid dust/oil buildup affecting heat dissipation and sealing.

In short, maintenance core principles: regular inspection, standardized cleaning, timely cartridge replacement, detailed monitoring. Scientific maintenance extends cartridge life, ensures air quality, and supports stable downstream equipment operation.
